This Saturday, ESPN’s GameDay will roll into Columbus, Ohio as the Buckeyes take on rival Notre Dame in one of the most anticipated games of the season. This will be GameDay’s 21st appearance at Ohio State-the most of any school.
Of course, it wouldn’t be GameDay without host Lee Corso’s headgear pick. Saturday’s GameDay will mark Lee Corso’s 384th pick. The tradition began when Corso donned Brutus in Columbus with his very first headgear pick on Oct. 5, 1996.
Buckeye fans are hoping that history repeats itself, as Corso has picked the Buckeye headgear a record 35 times and is 24-11 when choosing Ohio State. The Buckeyes are 17 point favorites this weekend.
Corso has chosen Notre Dame headgear 12 times and he is 8-4 when siding with the Irish.
Will Corso be picking Notre Dame and improve on his 8-4 record, or Ohio State for a record 36th time? We’ll all find out on Saturday.
Week 1 of @CollegeGameDay is just getting started!
