CFB expert Phil Steele released his Vegas Power Rankings, with 6 of the B1G’s 14 teams making the top 25 on the list.
Below is the list of the conference teams and rankings, along with their power score:
No. 2 – OSU-135.93
No. 6 – Michigan-123.62
No. 11 – Wisconsin-121.36
No. 18 – Penn State-117.96
No. 24 – Iowa-116.21
No. 30 – Michigan State-114.88
No. 32 – Minnesota-114.47
No. 34 – Purdue-114.28
No. 41 – Nebraska-112.52

No. 61 – Illinois-106.84
No. 78 – Northwestern-103.96
No. 80 – Rutgers 103.64
No. 81 – Indiana 103.41
The list, updated weekly, is meant to give an idea of how much teams would be favored over another team if they met on a neutral field. Although, Steele does caution fans not to get too ahead of themselves. “Just because a team beat someone last week does not mean they would be favored over them in the Vegas ratings.”
We’ll see after Week 1 if Steele’s predictions are good Vegas odds.
