Jack Campbell and the Iowa defense are going all out against South Dakota State. The Hawkeyes likely need that performance to come up with a win in Week 1.

Locked in a 3-all tie in the third quarter, Iowa punter Tory Taylor backed up the Jackrabbits with a beautiful punt to the one-yard line. Campbell came up with the clutch play to start the drive, bringing down the ball carrier in the end zone for the safety and two points for the Hawkeyes.

Iowa’s offense has been stagnant, to say the least in Week 1. Fortunately, the defense and special teams are showing out and keeping things locked down against the Jackrabbits.

Campbell has been a beast all afternoon long, and he provided what might be the play of the game. Campbell’s stuff of the ball carrier for a safety gives Iowa the lead and an extra possession late in the third quarter.
