No. 7 Utah entered 2022 with big expectations and high sights set on a potential trip to the College Football Playoff.
The defending Pac-12 champions return a veteran quarterback in Cam Rising and were dialed up for an SEC road trip in Week 1. That trip to Florida went down to the wire with Utah facing a chance to force overtime in Gainesville.
Deep in the red zone and well within range for a game-tying field goal, Utah continued to fight for the win in regulation. Unfortunately, Rising was picked off with 17 seconds remaining in the game.
The interception allowed the Gators to escape with the 29-26 victory:

The game was also the first for new Florida head coach Billy Napier. That is quite the way to begin his tenure with a signature top-10 win against a nonconference opponent in the Swamp.
