Miyan Williams just put up a huge drive for Ohio State, and he may have just iced away a win against Notre Dame for the Buckeyes.
The No. 2 running back for the Buckeyes, Williams has been splitting time with TreVeyon Henderson in Week 1. While both saw action on this drive, it was Williams that caught fire and scored the late touchdown.
His first touch on the drive was actually a reception, a sliding grab on a short third-down play to keep the Buckeyes moving. CJ Stroud was able to find Williams after escaping the pocket on a scramble drill.

After the catch, Williams would account for 45 rushing yards on the drive, including going at and through Notre Dame defenders. He finished the drive with 5 straight carries, finally punching in a short 2-yard score to put Ohio State up 21-10 late in the game.

We’ll see if Williams’ score to give the Buckeyes a cushion holds up.
