Kirk Herbstreit will now get the chance to work alongside Pat McAfee on ESPN’s College Gameday starting this fall. He had some kind words to say about the newcomer.
McAfee has done his podcast ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ since his retirement from the NFL in 2016. He was a punter, and played for the Indianapolis Colts (2009-2016). McAfee is also a graduate of West Virginia. He was a former 7th round draft pick in the 2009 NFL Draft.
McAfee is set to debut on College GameDay in Austin,Texas on Saturday.
“Well. Well. Well,” said Herbstreit. “My man Pat McAfee is officially joining College GameDay starting this saturday in Austin! This is gonna be a wild ride-big fella welcome to the team-we cannot wait to see you and get started in Austin. Welcome aboard!”
College GameDay has been around since 1987, and just keeps on evolving throughout the years. It’ll be interesting to see who they bring on next.
