Greg McElroy and Chris “The Bear” Fallica handed out some betting picks that they like with Week 2 on the way. The pair did this on ESPN College Football YouTube channel.
There were 4 B1G games that stuck out to Fallica and McElroy. Washington State-Wisconsin, Virginia-Illinois, Iowa State-Iowa, and Akron-Michigan State all have peaked their interest.
We’ll see how much of their picks come true. Here are McElroy’s and Fallica’s picks for the B1G games they chose from Week 2:
Washington State-Wisconsin (-17.5)
For Washington State-Wisconsin, McElroy thinks the Cougars will cover. Fallica also leaned towards Washington State, and thinks they won’t be a pushover, even if the game is in Madison.
Virginia-Illinois (-4.5)
Fallica has been favoring Illinois in his betting takes this season, and that won’t change for the Virginia game. McElroy expects a lot more points to come out of that game, and believes fans should take the over.
Iowa State-Iowa (-3.5)
Iowa has beaten Iowa State in the last 6 meetings. That is enough for McElroy and Fallica to go with Iowa in that matchup. The two reiterated how much more physical of a football team that Iowa has than Iowa State, which could play out in the Hawkeyes’ favor
Akron-Michigan State (-34.5)
The last game that they were interested in was Akron-Michigan State. McElroy didn’t have an opinion on who to go with in this one, as Michigan State struggled against Western Michigan. Fallica thinks that Akron will cover, however.
