247Sports analyst discusses Michigan QB battle: ‘Michigan has a dilemma at this position’

The Michigan QB battle could be finally decided soon. Brad Crawford of 247Sports talked about what he thinks about it and what to expect on ‘The College Football Daily’ podcast.
Cade McNamara and J.J. McCarthy are still both up for the starting QB job at Michigan. McCarthy will get his chance to prove he deserves the job against Hawai’i on Saturday.
“To me, Michigan has a dilemma at this position,” said Crawford. “The sample size with Cade McNamara is vast. He beat Ohio State, led them to a B1G Championship, and to its first College Football Playoff berth.”
On the other hand, McCarthy adds another dimension to the Wolverines’ offense and the team seems to respond to him better on the field.
“Then you have the former elite recruit in McCarthy who’s fast and can make things happen outside of the pocket,” said Crawford. “Players seem to feel energized when he’s in the huddle. Jim Harbaugh is playing this quarterback battle the best that he can, given the circumstances.”
At the end of the day, it will be up to Harbaugh.
