Michael Thomas will be suiting up for the New Orleans Saints for the first time since 2020 this season. It may have to take a little while longer for the former Buckeye to get healthy, per Nick Underhill of NewOrleansSaints.com.

Thomas is 1 of 4 Saints who are listed as questionable for the season opener. The injury report states that Thomas has a hamstring injury, and was a limited participant in Wednesday’s and Thursday’s practices.

Especially if Thomas gets healthy, the Saints should have some solid options at WR. Jarvis Landry joins the team from the Cleveland Browns, and Marquez Calloway is back after having offseason thumb surgery. Chris Olave could factor into the WR room as well.

The Saints will have a new head coach in 2022. Dennis Allen is now in charge after Sean Payton stepped down from the role after 15 seasons.

Allen will be looking to get a full seasons worth from Jameis Winston. Winston tore his ACL in Week 8 last season, and was out for the remainder of the year.

The New Orleans Saints play the Atlanta Falcons to open the year Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on FOX.
