ESPN’s FPI is back with predictions for who will win the B1G West following the games in Week 2. Each team in the division is ranked by their odds to win it.

The 3 teams with the highest odds to win the division all have odds higher than at least 20%. After that, the odds have a big drop-off. The next 3 teams all have a 4% chance or lower to take home the B1G West crown.

Nebraska was given the best odds to win the division in the preseason, and the FPI has now shifted favored away from them after a 1-2 start to the year. There have now been some changes towards the top. Minnesota and Wisconsin are still high on the list. A newcomer now has the 2nd-highest odds to win the division.

Iowa won the division title in 2021 and will need to figure out some things first offensively if it wants that to become a reality this season. The Golden Gophers are the only team that is undefeated among B1G West schools so far after a 62-10 victory against Western Illinois.

Here is who the Football Power Index thinks will the B1G West after Week 2:

  • Minnesota – 41.6%
  • Purdue – 26.6%
  • Wisconsin – 21.1%
  • Iowa – 4.1%
  • Nebraska – 3.2%
  • Illinois – 2.8%
