Some schools are known for their historic football programs. Others are known for their dominance on the court. And then, there’s a select few that are known for both.

Since 2010, 4 Big Ten programs have dominated both football and basketball, helping their programs become staples of the sport. All 4 institutions have posted at least 1 10-win season in football and made the NCAA tournament multiple times.

Ohio State, which takes the top spot overall, has a combined winning percentage of .744. The Buckeyes have finished with 10 11-plus win seasons, including winning the inaugural College Football Playoff in 2014. On the court, Ohio State has made the NCAA tournament 9 times while finishing ranked inside the AP top 25 7 times.

Michigan State’s best season in college football came in 2015 when Mark Dantonio led the Spartans to the College Football Playoff. Last season, Mel Tucker helped Michigan State finish 11-2 with wins over Miami, Michigan, and ACC champion Pitt in the Peach Bowl. On the hardwood, the Spartans have made the tournament every season under Tom Izzo.

Wisconsin, which posted a winning percentage of .708, has posted 5 10-win seasons in football. The Badgers have also made it to the NCAA tournament every season except for 2018, making it to the Final Four in 2015 under Bo Ryan.

Michigan, which closed out the list with a winning percentage of .688, might be the hottest team as of late. Last season, the Wolverines won the Big Ten championship and made the College Football Playoff for the first time under Jim Harbaugh. On the court, Michigan has been ranked 7 times, making it to the national championship 2018 season under John Beilein.
