Jim Mora has a tall task on his hands. The first-year head coach brings his Connecticut football team into Ann Arbor on Saturday.

Ahead of that matchup, Mora issued some high praise towards the Michigan program per MLive.com:

“They’re one of the premier teams in college football,” Mora told reporters in his press conference on Tuesday. “They played in the College Football Playoff last year and, to me, look better than ever. They’re big, physical, fast, and skilled.”

The Huskies come into this game 1-2 after a 48-14 blowout loss to Syracuse on Saturday. Their lone win was against FCS Central Connecticut State. It’s been over 1,000 days since the Huskies’ last FBS victory.

“They have their sights set on a national championship, as they should be. They’re worthy of that goal and expectation when you look at their film. This is a team with zero holes. They do not have a weakness.”

Michigan is set to start J.J. McCarthy at quarterback. Head coach Jim Harbaugh had been shuffling McCarthy and Cade McNamara under center through its first two games.

McCarthy could have a big day against one of the worst teams in the country.
