Justin Fields is looking for a big jump during his second NFL season with the Chicago Bears, and he started things off with a key second-half comeback against the San Francisco 49ers.
Despite some struggles in a rain-soaked afternoon contest, Fields led Chicago to the comeback while outscoring the 49ers 19-3 in the second half. That included a pair of touchdown passes while completing 8-of-17 passes for 121 yards.
In Week 2, Fields and the Bears will play one of the true rivalry games in the NFL: Chicago against NFC North foe Green Bay. Fields also knows the Packers will have an extra edge after the defense was shredded by the Minnesota Vikings in the opener:
Justin Fields on preparing for Green Bay’s secondary: “We know that they’re going to come with something to prove just ‘cause they didn’t have the game that they wanted to have last week. We’re prepared for that. They’re probably not going to make as many mistakes as they did

Fields also addressed the rivalry as a key piece of tradition:

We’ll see if Fields can improve to 2-0, especially in the head-to-head matchup against Aaron Rodgers.
