Can Nebraska pull off the upset over No. 6 Oklahoma? Better yet, can the Huskers beat the spread?

As Nebraska prepares for its first game in the post-Scott Frost era, betting lines are changing. Initially expected to be a tight matchup, the Sooners enter Saturday as a 10.5-point favorite, according to FanDuel.

The line might seem too low in the eyes of some. According to ESPN’s Greg McElroy, it’s a perfect bet in favor of the Huskers.

“This is Nebraska all day and twice on Saturday for me,” McElroy said during his Always College Football podcast. “Getting 11 (points), at home, Mickey Joseph is going to have those dudes running through a brick wall. I think Oklahoma is good, but still relatively unproven.”

The Sooners, led by new coach Brent Venables, have been on a tear through 2 games this season. Led by former UCF quarterback Dillion Gabriel, Oklahoma has scored 78 points against UTEP and Kent State combined.

A change at the helm might be exactly what Nebraska needs following a 1-2 start. Now led by Joseph, a former quarterback who played under Tom Osborn in the 1980s, McElroy isn’t the only one believing the Huskers will beat the spread. Fellow ESPN analyst Chris “Bear” Fallica is also certain Nebraska beats the spread in front of a packed Memorial Stadium.

Kickoff between the Sooners and Huskers is set for noon E.T.
