Kansas State and Tulane are going all out when it comes to helmets for their meeting. The Wildcats will need to prove they can contend in the Big 12, however they certainly are contending for having the top retro helmet in the sport.

The Wildcats will don their old retro logo for Saturday’s matchup against Tulane at Bill Snyder Family Stadium in Manhattan. For the first time in 3 seasons, K-State will have a new look compared to its current Powercat logo.

Not only will the Wildcats be wearing a retro logo on their helmets, but the Green Wave is going old school as well. To counteract K-State’s look, Tulane will have the old wave ready to throw hands at the drop of a hat.

The consensus from Twitter has been positive for both schools as both logos pop in a unique style. K-State coach Chris Klieman, along with several players, stated how pleased they were that the design was finally brought to life after 2 years in the making.

“Al and I had been visiting about it for some time,” Klieman said via The Wichita Eagle. “Some of it was supply and demand, and shipping and receiving. Everything seemed to go as planned, so this was the time to do it.”

Kickoff Saturday is set for 3:00 p.m. E.T. The Wildcats enter the weekend as a 13.5-point favorite, according to FanDuel.
