CHICAGO — Apparently Wisconsin likes Chicago so much that it wants to come back for more than B1G Media Days.

According to a report from the Chicago Tribune’s Teddy Greenstein, the Badgers are working on setting up a series with Notre Dame at Soldier Field.

Greenstein reported that while an announcement is “not imminent,” the two schools are in serious talks to begin a series.

The two teams haven’t played each other since 1964. According to the Tribune, the Badgers wanted to schedule a series from 2012-15, but those talks never led to anything.

The last time Wisconsin played at Soldier Field was when it took on Northern Illinois in 2011.

Soldier Field, also known the home of the Chicago Bears, has hosted several B1G games in recent memory. Illinois and Northwestern had a series at the venue, but the Illini moved its future two games that were originally scheduled for Soldier Field back to Champaign.

The only future B1G matchup scheduled for Soldier Field is Illinois against USF in 2018.

It’s unknown when a potential series would begin. Wisconsin doesn’t have any non-conference openings until 2020, but that doesn’t mean other series couldn’t be switched around.
