Everyone is always looking for power ranking following a week of college football. Those who are looking to place bets on Saturdays might trust the opinions of those in Las Vegas over most.

College football expert Phil Steele offered his insight entering Week 3 of the new season. Steele first shared his “Vegas Power Ratings” during his time at ESPN. Now independent, Steele has continued building connections with handicappers at multiple Las Vegas casinos.

The “Vegas Power Rankings” are meant to give betters an idea of the lines each week between opponents should they meet at a neutral site. The rankings are not an indication of the team’s current record, nor is it meant to mirror that of the AP or Coaches Poll.

Entering Week 3, Ohio State is Steele’s B1G’s top team, coming in at No. 2 overall behind Alabama. Both Michigan (No. 4) and Penn State (No. 13) were ranked inside the top 15, while Wisconsin rounded out the top 25.

Here’s where every B1G team ranks in the Week 3 Vegas Power Ratings:

  • No. 2 Ohio State (135.43 Vegas Rating)
  • No. 4 Michigan (126.78)
  • No. 13 Penn State (119.92)
  • No. 24 Wisconsin (117.37)
  • No. 26 Minnesota (116.77)
  • No. 29 Michigan State (115.93)
  • No. 33 Purdue (114.14)
  • No. 41 Maryland (112.70)
  • No. 50 Iowa (111.09)
  • No. 55 Nebraska (108.92)
  • No. 57 Illinois (108.77)
  • No. 72 Rutgers (104.51)
  • No. 83 Indiana (101.25)
  • No. 89 Northwestern (99.69)
