Michigan will have to manage without one of its key running backs on Saturday against UConn.

The Wolverines will be without Donovan Edwards on Saturday as the running back continues to nurse an ankle injury sustained from the Hawaii game last week.

Edwards’s status had been unclear all week, but head coach Jim Harbaugh made it clear that he would not play on Saturday.

Through two games, Edwards has picked up 90 yards and two touchdowns on 15 rush attempts this season and has proved that he is due for a big season. The Wolverines hope Edwards will not miss significant time.

For now, Michigan will look to Blake Corum as its primary rusher. Corum has recorded 164 yards and a pair of touchdowns on the season and will look to have a big game Saturday.

The Wolverines and Huskies kick off at 12 p.m. ET on Saturday.
