Kaleb Johnson explodes for first career TD on Iowa’s longest play of 2022

Kaleb Johnson has Iowa on the board, and it came on an impressive and dramatic run for the true freshman back. Johnson’s run came from 40 yards out and is the longest play of Iowa’s season so far.
Johnson took the handoff and made it into the second level of the defense with one nifty cut. After his cut, Johnson had a pair of defenders barreling in on him.
Johnson bounced off the contact and kept his feet churning down the field. He eventually hit the sideline and dove for the pylon, getting Iowa off to a 7-0 lead against Nevada.
Hopefully, the offense can produce some more explosive plays in Week 3.

Along with Johnson’s huge run, the offense is also getting back Keagan Johnson and Nico Ragaini. Hopefully, that duo settles in quickly and is able to stay healthy.
