ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit released his personal top 4 teams following the conclusion of Week 3. His list features 2 B1G teams.

At No. 1, Herbstreit has Georgia, who is coming off a dominant 48-7 win over South Carolina. At No. 2, he has Alabama, who defeated Louisiana Monroe 63-7 despite 2 interceptions from Bryce Young.

At No. 3 is Ohio State, who saw a breakout performance out of the offense that looked much more like what we saw last season. The Buckeyes scored an impressive 77 points against Toledo, failing to end a drive in a touchdown just once all game. Stroud was a near perfect 22-27 for 367 and 5 touchdowns.

The rushing attack produced 281 yards with 5 different Buckeyes finding the end zone on the ground. Ohio State will face a tougher test next week against Wisconsin as it begins Big Ten play.

At No. 4 on Herbstreit’s list is the Buckeye’s rival Michigan, the end-of-season matchup between the 2 teams is looking more and more like it will be a top 5 showdown. The Wolverines are coming off a dominant shutout win over UConn, 59-0.

In his first week as the clear starter, J.J. McCarthy threw 15-18 with 214 yards. Running back Blake Corum did the bulk of finishing drives, punching in 5 touchdowns on the ground, which is tied for a school-record. The Wolverines will also open Big Ten play next week against Maryland.
