Taison Chatman, 2023 combo guard from Minnesota, announced his commitment to Ohio State to 247Sports on Tuesday night.
Chatman is the 44th-ranked player and the 11th-ranked combo guard in the 247Sports Composite rankings for 2023. He announced his decision 2 weeks after his visit, the same day as fellow combo guard George Washington III’s decommitment.
Chatman spoke to Eleven Warriors about his commitment:
“The other thing was just the playing style. I think I fit right into what they’re trying to build, as far as I could be a scorer or a playmaker in their rotation. So I think that’s big.”

Chatman joins an impressive Buckeye recruiting class that already features two top-50 players in Scotty Middleton and Devin Royal. With his commitment, Ohio State’s 2023 class ranks 5th nationally.
