ESPN’s FPI predicted the outcome for this weekend’s matchup between Wisconsin and Ohio State.

The projection made Ohio State the heavy favorite to win the game. Ohio State received an 89% chance to take down Wisconsin at home. Based on the projection, Ohio State should have a smooth transition into B1G play.

On the other hand, Wisconsin only received a percentage of 11% to win the game. The FPI did not give Wisconsin a great chance to pull off the upset in Columbus.

Wisconsin enters this week with a 2-1 record. The Badgers secured 2 wins over Illinois State and New Mexico State. The lone loss came at home to Washington State in Week 2. The New Mexico State win was a nice bounce back game for Wisconsin following the Washington State loss.

In 2022, Wisconsin quarterback Graham Mertz has thrown for 697 yards, 6 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions. Mertz will need to have a great performance to knock off Ohio State on the road.

For Ohio State, the Buckeyes will look to replicate its 77-21 win over Toledo from last week. Quarterback CJ Stroud passed for 367 yards and 5 touchdowns. Ohio State is undefeated with a 3-0 record. This will be Ohio State’s 4th consecutive home game to start the season.

Ohio State hosts Wisconsin on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET.
