Mickey Joseph became Nebraska’s interim head coach earlier this month after the Husker’s Week 2 loss to Georgia Southern. On Friday, Joseph’s interim coaching contract was revealed.

Joseph is picking up a monthly stipend of $33,350 for additional duties in addition to his salary as an assistant coach. If Nebraska hires an outside head coach, Joseph immediately reverts to associate head coach and wide receivers coach.

Joseph has plenty of bonus opportunities:

  • $100,000 for Big Ten West title without playing in conference championship game
  • $200,000 for playing in Big Ten Conference Championship but not winning
  • $300,000 for winning B1G Championship Game
  • $150,000 for playing in a non-College Football Playoff bowl
  • $250,000 for playing a CFP game
  • $300,000 for playing in a CFP semi-final
  • $350,000 for reaching the CFP championship game, but not winning
  • $650,000 for winning CFP title game

Nebraska lost Joseph’s debut 49-14 to Oklahoma. The Huskers are off in Week 4, returning to action on Oct. 1 against Indiana.
