Vegas has updated its Heisman odds and three players from the B1G have been given a legitimate shot to bring home college football’s most prestigious award.
Ohio State’s J.T. Barrett and Penn State’s Saquon Barkley and Trace McSorley are the three B1G representatives with the best odds to win the Heisman Trophy in 2017, according to Bovada.lv. The odds were updated on Tuesday.
Barkley has the best odds of any from the B1G and the second-best nationally, with 7/1 odds of bringing home the Heisman. USC’s Sam Darnold sits atop the list with a 4/1 shot.
Barrett is next on the list with 8/1 odds, the fourth-best, behind Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield.
Further down the list is McSorley, who comes in with a 33/1 shot. The Lions’ QB has suffered quite a fall in the Heisman odds, as he was given 10/1 odds back in January.
Other names on that list include last year’s Heisman winner Lamar Jackson (8/1), LSU running back Derrius Guice (12/1) and Alabama RB Bo Scarbrough (14/1).
