Bears fans lay into Justin Fields after putrid performance against Houston
Former Ohio State Buckeye turned Chicago Bear QB Justin Fields was having a dismal game against the Houston Texans on Sunday.
Fields was struggling on all fronts, going 8/17 for 106 yards, 2 INTs and 5 sacks. Houston Texans safety Jalen Pitre was responsible for both interceptions. That’s a stat that’s even more impressive considering Pitre entered Sunday without an interception in his NFL career.
Fans were relentless on social media, trolling the quarterback after the dreadful performance:

I’m gonna say it – Justin Fields has not looked good at all this year
Looks like he’s taken a big step back as a passer, actually

Justin fields be getting away with criminally bad performances

Sunday wasn’t the first disappointing performance of the season for Fields. Fields was the least productive starting quarterback in the NFL over the first two weeks of the season, throwing the fewest passes and totaling the least yardage. At halftime on Sunday Fields had completed just 4 of 11 passes for 45 yards and an interception for an 11.6 passer rating.
It wasn’t just fans on social media that were voicing their displeasure, as the Bears were booed off the field by their own fans at halftime. Despite the epically bad performance from the QB, the Bears managed to pull off a 23-20 win.
