Hayes said did not specify on his post when he would be making his official announcement on where he’ll play soon.
Hayes, a native of Largo, Fla., has been revered for his ability to pass rush as a standup blitzer off the edge. According to 247Sports, he currently is listed as the No. 63 player in the country, the No. 15 player in the state, and the No. 8 edge rusher of the class.
Per 247Sports’ team rankings, the Buckeyes currently have the No. 16 recruiting class for the 2024 cycle. Entering October, Ohio State has only received a commitment from 5-star QB Dylan Raiola of Chandler, Ariz.
