Minnesota men’s basketball arena is getting some upgrades this offseason. One of them is going to be a brand new basketball court.

The court designs were teased in a social media post that included a time-lapse video. The 2022 season for Minnesota basketball season starts on Nov. 7 against Western Michigan.

After the time-lapse portion of the video ended, a 360 degree view was shown of the new court. Minnesota’s “M” logo will be at halfcourt. There are also now going to be logos on the sides of the ball for the arena’s naming rights owner Cambria.

Cambria announced a new 10-year deal with Minnesota basketball in February.

The Golden Gopher men’s basketball program will be looking to improve on what Ben Johnson accomplished in year 1. Minnesota finished 13-17 last season, and missed the NCAA Tournament.

Minnesota has not gone to the tournament since 2019. That year’s team advanced to the 2nd round after beating Louisville, but evidently lost to Michigan State after that.
