Purdue came into the road game as a huge underdog to a ranked Minnesota team as they gave the Golden Gophers their first loss and their worst offensive performance of the season.

The defense of Purdue held Minnesota to only 304 total yards, with only 47 yards coming from the ground. With Minnesota’s offense one-dimensional, Purdue’s defense allowed an average of 7.8 yards per completion and forced three interceptions from quarterback Tanner Morgan.
