Mickey Joseph earned his first win as Nebraska’s interim DC on Saturday against Indiana. Luke Mullin of the Lincoln Journal Star posted his comments about it on social media.
The Huskers bested the Hoosiers 35-21 in Lincoln. Casey Thompson, Anthony Grant, and Trey Palmer all led the way for the offense. The defense shut down the running game and only allowed Indiana to have 67 total yards rushing.
It meant a lot to Joseph when he saw his players celebrating after the win. Nebraska is now 2-3 after the win.
“That was the big emotional part for me, just seeing their faces after the game,” said Joseph.

Joseph also made a joke about how it was nice to give people something to talk about at church on Sunday morning. Nebraska fans have not had a win to talk about since Week 1 against North Dakota.
Joseph says the win was good for people “to wake up Sunday morning, go to church and have something to talk about.” #Huskers
