The Michigan Wolverines are coming off of a big win against the Iowa Hawkeyes in Week 5.

The conference win puts Michigan at 2-0 in the conference, 5-0 overall. The Wolverines are currently ranked No. 4 in the country, with several undefeated teams right behind them. With that in mind, head coach Jim Harbaugh knows better than to look past any opponent.

When asked about possibly falling into a “trap game” against the Indiana Hoosiers, Harbaugh pointed out the game should be a solid challenge for Michigan (Via On3 Sports).

“Just attacking the day, we know it’ll be a big challenge, darn good football team, always played us tough and good,” Harbaugh said. “Similar to Iowa, ton of respect for how they play, consider them a blue-collar team that always has a lot of talented guys and is really well coached.”

While Harbaugh is certainly saying the right thing, this series has been very one-sided. Indiana defeated Michigan in 2020, its first win over the school since 1987. The 2020 game in which Indiana was the victor, has left a bad taste in the mouths of Harbaugh and his veteran players.

When asked about Indiana QB Conor Bazelak, who is currently 3rd in the B1G with 1,394 passing yards, Harbaugh admitted his defense will have to play well in Week 6.

“We’re gonna have to play good, it’s always gonna come down to that, whatever tag you put on a game it comes down to if you play good,” said Harbaugh.
