Paul Finebaum sees Lance Leipold ‘getting out’ of Kansas in the near future

Paul Finebaum, ESPN commentator and radio host, does not expect Kansas head coach Lance Leipold to be in Lawrence much longer. Finebaum, while talking to ESPN’s Matt Barrie, said the following (Via On3 Sports):
“I know this will be his week with GameDay and all the circus acts that they bring into town. But, ultimately, he’s getting out. He’s not going to be there long and he shouldn’t be,” said Finebaum. “I don’t care what Kansas fans think about what I’m about to say. If you can get a couple of wins and cement some momentum there? Have your agent get you an offer worth about four or five times that value. Wisconsin would be a great landing spot. Anywhere would be a great landing spot for him.”
Finebaum notably name-dropped Wisconsin, who recently entered the head coaching market after relieving Paul Chryst of his duties over the weekend. Leipold, a Wisconsin native, makes plenty of sense as a candidate for the Badgers.
Leipold played college football at Wisconsin-Whitewater, and would later become an incredibly successful head coach for the team. Under Leipold, Wisconsin-Whitewater went 109-6 and won 6 Division III National Championships.
Leipold later moved on to Buffalo, where he would accumulate 2 bowl wins and 3 MAC East division titles. In his second season at Kansas, Leipold has the Jayhawks at 5-0 and ranked for the first time in over a decade.
His proven track record and strong Wisconsin ties make Leipold a natural fit for the Badgers.
