Ohio State is notoriously tight-lipped about injury specifics, but all indications are that Williams’ injury is not serious. The Buckeyes will also be without star wideout Jaxon Smith-Njigba for the 3rd-straight game.
In Week 5, Williams had a career game, going for 189 yards and 5 TDs. Without Williams, TreVeyon Henderson and Dallan Hayden are expected to get the bulk of the workload on the ground.
All indications are that Williams will be back in time for the Iowa game in Week 8. Ohio State has a bye in Week 7, and it will be much needed for the injury-riddled team.
