C.J. Stroud is honoring former Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Dwayne Haskins this season every game by writing his name on his wristbands. Stroud also said his 2022 season is dedicated in Haskins’ honor.

On April 9, Haskins was struck by a vehicle in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, after training with his Pittsburgh Steelers teammates. He was killed in the accident.

Haskins signed a one-year free agent deal with Pittsburgh a few weeks before his death to contend for the starting quarterback position. He spent the two previous seasons with the Washington Football Team/Commanders, where he was drafted by the team in the first round (15th overall pick) in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Stroud is one of the top quarterbacks in the country this season as he has completed 92-of-134 of his passes for 1,376 yards, 18 touchdowns, only 2 interceptions, and 196.3. No. 3 Ohio State is coming off a 49-20 road win at Michigan State in Week 6.
