Matt Rhule, a highly successful college coach has been fired from his NFL job, which means the rumors of his return to college football are pouring out.

Rhule was fired by the Carolina Panthers on Monday morning, so he has now been thrown into the mix for every vacancy that there is right now.

Out of the current vacancies, Nebraska is probably the most likely landing spot for Rhule. Greg McElroy, however, was told that Rhule is in no rush and that none of the vacancies are jobs that he would take.

McElroy even predicted Rhule being on TV rather than a college head coach in 2023.

Rhule has had a lot of success at the collegiate level at Temple and most recently, Baylor. In his first years with the teams, he had a combined record of 3-21. However, Rhule took both teams to a 6-6 record in his second year with the teams. After that, he continued to revive the programs with a combined record of 31-10.

Any team looking to rebuild its program will most definitely keep Rhule at the forefront of the discussion.
