Ex-Buckeye player reportedly exposed Ohio State formations, schemes on website

One former Ohio State offensive lineman is reportedly banned from receiving media credentials at Ohio State.
According to a report from Meet at Midfield, ex-Buckeye Kirk Barton and his associate — Ken Stickney, also known as “Nevadabuck” online — used “improper and unauthorized access to Ohio State’s internal football video system.” The information gathered from that improper access was used to “[expose] team formations, schemes and personnel changes” on the website “Buckeye Scoop.”
As a result of the findings, Ohio State has banned Barton and Stickney from receiving Buckeye credentials for the foreseeable future.

Barton and Stickney “will not receive Athletics media credentials for the foreseeable future,” Ohio State athletics spokesperson Jerry Emig confirmed in an email sent to Robert Glickman, an arbitrator in the now-concluded legal battle between Barton and Stickney and fellow co-founder Marc Givler – who has since left Buckeye Scoop and launched a separate website, Buckeye Huddle. Barton and Stickney’s actions also led to the revocation of media credentials for colleagues at Buckeye Scoop who were uninvolved in the incident, according to the email.

Kirk Barton played at Ohio State during the 2000s and was a 7th-round pick in the 2008 NFL Draft. He was a first-team All-American and first-team All-B1G in 2007 for the Buckeyes.
