With just one week until he’s back on the College GameDay set, ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit has released some of his biggest predictions for the 2017 season.
Herbstreit will be hosting the annual “Herbies” on Wednesday night on ESPN2, where he’ll announce his favorites out of designated categories such as best kept secret, ultimate game changer, and breakout star. But before the show airs, he wanted to give a little sneak peak at his favorites to win each conference, predict the College Football Playoff and project a national champion.
Ohio State fans, you’re going to enjoy this.
Herbstreit picked the Buckeyes to beat Wisconsin in the B1G Championship Game and earn a spot in the College Football Playoff. He then expects Ohio State to knock off Alabama for the national title.
In addition to Ohio State and Alabama, the ESPN analyst believes Florida State and USC will earn the other two playoff spots.
Herbstreit also predicted a sleeper team out of each conference. His pick out of the B1G was Northwestern.
