Hoeppner was the head coach at Indiana in 2005 and 2006 but passed away because of complications from a brain tumor shortly before the 2007 season. 2017 marks the 10th year since Hoeppner’s death.
In addition to bringing Indiana football to relevance, Hoeppner coined the phrase “Defend the Rock” and had a three-ton boulder placed in the north end zone.
This really is a cool tribute from Indiana’s football program and Adidas.
