James Franklin confirmed that Sean Clifford had to exit early due to injury vs. Michigan. Drew Allar took over at QB to start the 4th quarter for the Nittany Lions.

Clifford looked to be favoring his shoulder at the end of the 3rd quarter. Clifford finished his day with 120 yards passing and 74 yards rushing.

Allar entered the game in a 14-point deficit and struggled to get the offense moving. Allar finished his day 5-for-10 with 37 yards and -3 yards rushing. This was the 5th game that Allar has seen action this season, but the freshman only has 19 pass attempts for the season.

The severity of Clifford’s injury has yet to be determined. Allar could be set for his first start if the Nittany Lions are without Clifford.

The Nittany Lions will welcome a tough Minnesota team to Happy Valley in Week 8.
