Jim Harbaugh had a simple explanation for the success of his RBs against Penn State. According to Harbaugh, both guys are “really fast,” and all it takes is a bit of open field for the two to gash defenses.

Harbaugh’s comments come after a dominating performance against conference foe Penn State. Michigan went on to easily defeat Penn State by a score of 41-17, maintaining a perfect season.

Corum gained 166 yards and 2 TDs while Edwards went for 173 yards and 2 TDs. This was the 4th game of 100+ rushing yards for Corum and the first such game for Edwards. Edwards missed 2 games due to injury, sitting out against UConn and Maryland.

Corum now leads the nation in rushing TDs, bringing his total to 13 on the year. Michigan will play host to in-state rival Michigan State in Week 8. Corum and Edwards should have another big game, as the Spartans are currently 71st in the FBS in rushing defense.
