College football was an absolute blast yesterday, with great games galore; the best of the bunch was No. 6 Tennessee knocking off No. 3 Alabama. Multiple analysts have come out with their new rankings since the upset.
CBS analyst Danny Kanell has released his new rankings following week 6 action:
What a weekend….some changes to this weeks all new resume based #DKtop12
1. Tennessee
2. Clemson
3. Michigan
4. Ohio State
5. TCU
6. Georgia
7. UCLA
8. Bama
9. Ole Miss
10. Syracuse
11. Wake Forest
12. Oregon— Danny Kanell (@dannykanell) October 16, 2022
Tennessee is his new No. 1, with Clemson, Michigan and Ohio State following behind. Clemson defeated Florida State, Michigan boat raced Penn State and Ohio State was on the bye.
Kanell’s list is interesting, given that Michigan beat a team with a better ranking and won by a higher scoring margin than Clemson, but Kanell still has the Tigers ahead of the Wolverines.
The Buckeyes were on the bye, and we will see later today if they benefited from the bye week when the AP Poll comes out.
There is still a lot of season left to play, but it does seem like the Wolverines and Buckeyes are headed for a pseudo-playoff game at the end of the season, with both teams on track to be undefeated in The Game.
