Every recruit has an interesting way of trimming down his list of scholarship offers.
Some go with a customized graphic while others script a video. Some just simply make an announcement via Twitter. But for four-star defensive end Tyreke Smith, he narrowed down his list of schools with a pair of shoes.
It might be one of the more unique approaches out there.
Smith had a pair of white Nike cleats customized for the purpose of this decision. On Saturday, he tweeted a few pictures of his new kicks – complete with his name, by the way – which had logos of the five schools he’s interested in pursuing.

In case you can’t make out the logos, Smith’s list has been trimmed to Ohio State, Penn State, USC, Alabama and Oregon.
The Cleveland, Ohio native currently has 38 offers, seven from B1G programs. He’s ranked as the No. 3 defensive end in the 2018 recruiting class and the No. 55 overall player.
