What’s it like to be the starting quarterback at Illinois? Thanks to Chayce Crouch and a microphone, we can get an inside look at just that.
Crouch, who will be the starting signal-caller for the Illini, was mic’d up at one practice, giving fans a glimpse of what a typical day and practice looks like. And, as you can tell, not every conversation is football related:
"That's like Lebron right there. No Steph Curry, straight Lebron." – Mic'd up with #Illini QB @teccrouch7 https://t.co/ZguKakrDZw

Crouch appeared in four games last season before suffering an injury. He completed 18-of-32 passes for 249 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed for 176 yards and two scores.
The Illini take the field on Sept. 2 in Champaign when they host Ball State in Week 1.
