B1G has 3 teams in preseason AP Top 25 men’s basketball poll

The AP Top 25 preseason poll is out. There were three B1G schools on the list, and you can view them here.
North Carolina is No. 1 after coming up short in the NCAA Tournament final last season to Kansas. The top 10 has a lot of blue bloods with Gonzaga, Kentucky, Kansas, Duke, and UCLA being just some of the teams mentioned.
The only B1G schools that are ranked in the preseason poll are No. 13 Indiana, No. 22 Michigan, and No. 23 Illinois.
Indiana is coming off of its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2016. The Hoosiers have added some solid recruits from the 2022 class and are looking to get back to how the Indiana teams of old were.
Michigan will be looking to make its third-straight NCAA Tournament under former player Juwan Howard. The Wolverines finished 19-15 last season.
Illinois used the transfer portal to its advantage this offseason. Former Texas Tech guard Terrence Shannon Jr. is now on the roster. Former Baylor standouts Dain Dainja and Matthew Mayer are also on Brad Underwood’s team now.
The B1G could have even more teams ranked by the end of the season. College basketball is almost back.
