After a thrilling week of college football, Kirk Herbstreit gave his top performing teams of Week 7. He listed the 10 teams he thinks deserve a nod Monday on Twitter.

It was inevitable that Tennessee would be No. 1 on Herbstreit’s list after the Vols’ 52-49 shootout win over Alabama. The Vols won on a last second field goal before fans stormed the field.

Michigan came in at No. 2 after a dominant win over a top-10 ranked Penn State team. The Wolverines routed the Nittany Lions 41-17 behind an insane performance from running backs Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards. The duo combined for over 300 rushing yards and four touchdowns, also cracking Herbstreit’s player performances of the week list he dropped just prior on Monday.

The Big Ten had another team on the list as Illinois came in at No. 6. The Fighting Illini defeated Minnesota 26-14 on their way to their fifth straight win. Illinois is proving to be the top team in Big Ten West and it will have Wisconsin on Saturday to try and keep the momentum alive.
