The first big prediction of the season is in, and it comes from none other than ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit.

During his podcast, Herbstreit and Fitzsimmons, the college football analyst went in-depth on the Michigan-Florida game that will take place on Saturday. After breaking down both sides, Herbstreit couldn’t help but pick a winner for the game.

He picked the Wolverines.

“Any time the Big Ten and SEC get together, people kind of stereotype the Big Ten as big strong and physical and the SEC is guys with all the speed, and I think that’s not necessarily the case with Michigan,” Herbstreit said.

“I think Michigan finds a way to win this game, and I think they’re going to play with a bit of a chip on their shoulder with a lot of people expecting them to kind of go away after they lost so many seniors.”

He just couldn’t wait for College GameDay to make his official pick.

A win for Michigan over Florida in the season opener would be a huge confidence booster moving forward.
