A former Illinois and NFL player will be a contestant on CBS’s ‘Survivor,’ according to the Chicago Tribune.
This will be the 35th season of the hit show and will take place in Fiji. There will be 18 contestants competing for a $1 million grand prize.
Ball played for the Illini in 2005 and 2006, totaling 88 tackles, 7.5 stops for loss and two interceptions in those two seasons. Illinois won just four games during that two-year span.
After the two years at Illinois, Ball was selected in the seventh-round of the 2007 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys. He played in the league for nine years, making additional stops in Houston, Jacksonville and Chicago.
Ball finished his professional career with 234 tackles, 37 pass deflections and six interceptions.
The upcoming season of survivor is scheduled to premier on Sept. 27.
