Ryan Day discussed C.J. Stroud’s impressive career as Ohio State’s star quarterback.

Ohio State heads into this week’s meeting against Iowa with an undefeated 6-0 record. Stroud’s outstanding season has contributed to the team’s overall success in 2022. The offense has taken another step with Stroud leading the way.

In an appearance on Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff, Day spoke with the crew about Stroud being an underrated quarterback. Day noted how important winning is to Stroud:

“For him, he’s already been on an offense that’s had the No. 1 scoring, that’s been No. 1 in yards. Last week he throws six touchdown passes and people say he’s under the radar,” Day said. “One thing that he wants to do is win games, doesn’t matter how.”

In Ohio State’s last game against Michigan State, Stroud passed for 6 touchdowns, 1 interception, and 361 yards. It was one of his best performances at Ohio State.

Heading into Week 8, Stroud has passed for 1,737 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions. He has 4 games with at least 4 passing touchdowns. Stroud was a Heisman Trophy finalist in 2021 and he is on a path to return to the ceremony in December.

This week will be Stroud’s 1st game against Iowa. Ohio State lost the last meeting to Iowa in 2017.
