Johnnie Dixon is making the most of his first career start at Ohio State.
A few days ago, receivers coach Zach Smith called Dixon’s mother to notify her that her son would be making his first collegiate start. Her reaction was nothing short of incredible.
But the junior wasn’t satisfied with just getting the starting job. He wanted to make an impact in the season opener.
Late in the third quarter, Dixon made his mark. With Ohio State leading 27-21, Dixon was on the receiving end of a 59-yard touchdown pass that gave the Buckeyes a two-touchdown advantage late in the third quarter.
