Justin Fields had one of his best outings of the season on Monday Night Football in a blowout win over the New England Patriots. One of the keys to that game was Fields’ work as a rusher in the Chicago Bears offense.
At the end of the game, Fields finished with 14 carries for a team-high 82 yards and a touchdown. Combined with his 13-for-21 effort as a passer and 179 yards, Fields produced 261 yards of offense and 2 touchdowns.
After the game, Fields called the offense “more complex.”
“Yeah. I thought they were good,” Fields said at his postgame press conference per Josh Alper with Pro Football Talk. “I thought it brought a whole different element to our offense. I think we executed that well. And there were definitely some explosive plays in the design runs for sure.”

However, with 80+ rushing yards in back-to-back games, it sure looks like the Bears are finding ways to maximize Fields’ full skillset this season.
