Talk about an incredibly thoughtful gesture.
Before Nebraska’s student section got all riled up, cheering on the Huskers in the 2017 season opener, it sent a heartfelt message to Arkansas State head coach Blake Anderson and his wife Wendy.
Wendy recently underwent breast cancer surgery, so the Nebraska student section had a giant pink banner made that read “Get Well Soon, Wendy Anderson!”
It was a really cool gesture on a day that everyone had reserved strictly for college football.

It was a thoughtful gesture that was well received by Anderson.
The game between Nebraska and Arkansas State turned out to be a thriller in Lincoln, with the Huskers narrowly escaping 43-36.
While there were plenty of great plays and terrific moments throughout the game, the banner and gesture was the coolest part of the game.
